Holiday Luncheon

The 2006 fund raising luncheon at the Sheraton Hotel began at the Welcome Desk with AFCM's Secretary Faith Gladkoff .

The event included the official passing of the AFCM President's gavel from Irene Weintraub to Bill Beamish. Irene received an enthusiastic round of applause in recognition of her three years of service.

John Cain and Henry "Kiko" Jimenez, generously underwritten by Eric and Aveline von Ehrenberg, had those attending tapping their feet and dancing.

 

James Miles, representing the San Diego Symphony, and Aveline love Latin music.

Membership Chairperson Mona Kelley proves the dancers weren't the only ones enjoying themselves as those in the background look through the merchandise tables.

The new President and Treasurer Richard Morgan. Richard is also PR Chairperson.

Lynn Hijar, a representative of Mayor Sanders, here presents the organization with a proclamation declaring AFCM Day in San Diego.

Richard Morgan emceed the event and is seen here interviewing pianist John Cain.

Looks like Aveline and Classics 4 Kids conductor Dana Mambourg-Zimbric are among those planning to be back next year.
